Great video, I know at least half the pipers, as well as Angus Nicol of the HSL. Nice to see my old piping tutor Dugald MacNeill there too.

The first thing I too noticed on the video were the lady pipers in tartan skirts. I am forty-five past and was brought up by my parents (especially my late mother) with the same point of view as you Jock, and I am definitely not a male chauvinist or misogynist. However, it would seem the accepted norm of female Pipe Band members wearing male kilt attire is well and truly established both here and back home at least since the mid-1980's from what I remember.

I spotted Alastair Dunn leading the parade (first piper on the left) and the most ELUSIVE of Highland creatures at 1:16 in the video. A man in a kilt wearing a Flat Cap in Scotland!
