Some Things Never Change
So I'm reading the book Highlander by Tim Newark (a closed thread in the Library forum) and enjoying it.
Then I hit this passage on page 81, "girls rushed forward to embrace the kilted soldiers."
Context is the 79th Cameron Highlanders mustering in the Grand Palace of Brussels before marching off to fight at Waterloo in June of 1815.
Ain't it great how the girls STILL rush forward to embrace men in kilts!!??
