Great job. No need to apologize for wearing it, in fact the creases give it an honest air. I also echo the interest in the contrasting fringe. It is definately something to keep in mind whether from necessity or intention. Keep up the good work and enjoy.

An excellent piece of work! I'm in process of sewing my first.

Very nice. I like the solid colour fringe that there looks to be in the first picture. I am continuously impressed with the skill and workmanship of fellow XMarkers!

I like it! The grey fringe is a nice touch.
I'm almost done with mine. I've done a triple-fringe that works well. Now I want to get some blue hose like the ones shown at the top of the page. They look darker than the 'lovet' blue I've seen elsewhere. Any Ideas?
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

Baldybrown - I was lucky enough to get those charcoal grey hose at a thrift store for fifty cents. Actually gotten few pairs of nice, knee-high, wool socks that way.
Now I never walk past the "women's socks" bin at a thrift store without at least a poke or a peek in there. Seems people are gifted nice wool socks, can't stand the itch, and donate the things - brand-spanking new.
Yesterday I wore navy blue hose (a buddy gave them to me - I'll ask him where they came from for you) and a white and grey striped thermal shirt. Same kit everywhere else. This is proving to be a very versatile color set.

Love the FYBP (Four Yard Box Pleat - there's your abbreviation ) - I will have to buy one of these X-Marks kilts when my finances improve

What, no acronym or clever nickname? Where's the love in that? ;-)

Best part of day one in this kilt? I was crossing the road, and a car full of women honked, "woo'd" and shouted "sexaay!"
So I guess the public approves
That's looks great! Now I'm psych'd to try my hand at a tartan XKilt. So, yes, please do post the "stitch from behind" pleats instructions (photos would help a lot, too). BTW, I've been leery of making an XKilt using a patterned fabric such as a tartan. How difficult was it? Any tips regarding that?

This looks really good! I'm all for that solid fringe, too. It's not silly, but it's still unique. It'd be a great identifier if you ever started making kilts for other people.
As usual, SoL
