Haven't been Kilting much - Important decision to make.
So, I've lost A LOT of weight over the last year. So much so, in fact, that I sold one of my Kilts because it was way too big for me.
I have a couple of Kilts left that I love. However, they're at a point where even on the tightest setting I HAVE to wear a belt to keep them from slipping down over time. And the belt leaves those nice pleats on the front because I have to cinch in so much fabric.
The one Kilt I had that still fit well... I loaned it to a local theatre company and it got torn. They are giving me money to order a Stillwater custom fitted to me, so I am not too worried. I'll have a slightly nicer Kilt than the one that was lost and they can repair that one and keep it in their costuming.
To the important decision: I do not intend to gain the weight back. I genuinely feel that having Kilts that fit me when I am in shape will keep me in shape. (The horror of not being able to fasten your Kilt is terrible. I know.)
Should I suck it up and sell the two Kilts I love and use the money towards buying some more that actually fit me well?
It's a big step.
