    I have four. None are lined. Three are of excellent quality - Kinloch Anderson horsehair & silver, McRostie plain in the fantastic Dark Havana color, a black Grenadier Sporran from Wyvern and a plain brown hacker from What Price Glory. None are lined. Three of superior quality and one I don't mind if I have to carry fish in.

    I don't think you can chalk it up to quality one way or another. I've seen sporrans made with the highest quality leather (such as Ferguson Britt) which are routinely lined. I've also seen high quality sporrans unlined. I've also seen el-cheapo sporrans made both ways.
