Looking for some help with an Argyll Jacket...

I’m getting married in November and in all the planning I’ve figured out how the outfit fits together now I just have to purchase the parts I don’t yet have. So this will be just the first of several questions I’ll be posing to the rabble in the coming weeks but before I jump to all the other questions let’s just start with the first one.

I’ve decided on the Argyll Jacket & vest but I’m at the crossroads of trying to figure out where to go from here. As I read on different vendors sites, I see various weights to the material, different makers (Locharron, St. Kilda & etc.) It’s tough for me to tell because some look sharper in the photos than others. I’ve even been in a few places over the past year and there seems to be some variance in quality that doesn’t always relate to the price. I’m sure some of you have great insight into just this type of purchase too.

So the question (or questions) I pose to you all is: what are your suggestions for top quality jackets and where you might recommend buying them from.

    Thanks!
    Brenton

^This....will be the best [in terms of quality and value] solution by far.

P.S. That I were so lucky to have a kilt maker so close!
