I haven't seen a Kinguissie in wool, so I would be very interested to see how it drapes. Also haven't seen a Keltoi. If you're in the Vancouver area sometime, be sure to give us a call-out: I'm sure the local rabble would want to get a look at your kilt.
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.

Apparently I am next up - solidly in second place in the queue. Saw John on Saturday to be measured up for my box-pleated Maple Leaf. Very exciting! Also managed to place an order for Argyle hose (Campbell of Cawdor) in anticipation of the Toronto St. Andrew's Ball.

By the way, congratulations on the upcoming wedding. I have two adult daughters and I haven't done that with either one (and not likely to any time soon).

My box-pleated Maple Leaf arrived yesterday from John! Looks great, feels a litlle different with less fabric - a much lighter garment than I am used to. Hoping to make tomorrow a kilted Friday.

    Pictures to follow.

Incredible fortune that you have ordered this, it is among the many "wish list" kilts of mine. I am most anxious to see the result, that is a beautiful tartan. Which mill did you get the tartan from?

I own 2 Kingussie Keltoi kilts to go along with my box pleated and tweed Keltoi kilts. You will not go wrong. John's quality and service is top shelf.

Spot on there mate.....My hunting weathered Mackintosh from John is hands down my favourite kilt. It's built like a sherman tank. He also went the extra mile (on his own dime I might add) to get it to me in time for my sisters wedding last year.
