I went back and reviewed my several orders from Chris at Dunadd. The shipping times ranged from 8 - 12 days. That's pretty darned good. My guess is that your bonnet is getting REALLY close. Hang in there, ... and don't forget the pictures.

The mailman gave me a dirty look today when I went out to see if he was bringing the goodies. Not sure if he fully trusts me anymore...but who cares as long as he delivers the goodness that I seek.

I shall post pictures as soon as it arrives and then after the "jocking" process. I cannot wait for it to begin.

Interesting idea. I might do just that. Although I do risk dehydration do to the drooling factor....

It depends on whether you prefer peated or un-peated malts.

Sorry to read about the bad timing. Who would have guessed? Doesn't Chris know he's not supposed to take time off?

I predict that you will be very pleased with your bonnet. Mackies might be matched, but they won't be beaten.

In the meantime, spend lots of time looking over Jock's demonstration of just how to break one in and plan your jocking in advance. Avoid the tendancy to treat it carefully as a good kicking down the path is almost required for a proper fit.

And then show us your photos.

I am already re-reading it in preparation for the big event. From the time of the delivery, it should arrive and be properly "jocked" before I head to the St. Louis Missouri Highland Games at the end of the month.

And I will post plenty of photos.

WOOT....the bonnet arrived in the post today...as I was leaving for work of all the great timing...ugh. Sitting here at work until 1AM (Central US time) whilst my bonnet sits at home, waiting longingly for me to dunk it and give it a good bashing about. I am happy at the speedy delivery (7 days exact) but the timing of the postman leads me to believe he took things a tad personal when I questioned his ethics concerning what I was sure was my procured bonnet....

I now have only to wait 6 and 1/2 hours until my new baby and I are united again.
