    For Blu

So I take it, Blu, you voted for Harper over Martin?

Wow! i've never heard of this 'khaki tartan' refered to directly. I'd always thought folks were mistaking the covers for the kilts themselves.
Is this a solid khaki colored wool kilt or is it a tartan pattern in shades of tans and browns (like a South African military kilt i once saw on eBay)?

    Episcopalscot,

I'm thanking you from my Dad... who I sent the link to. He was on the site for about two hours looking into things and remembering the family.

I had forgotten the stories, that we were with the Essex Scottish Regiment / 48th Highlanders! He has artifacts from the family too. Good stuff!

    Your Dad...

    Jimmy,

Was your Dad in the Canadian Army?

Glad to hear he enjoyed the site so much -- it is one I keep coming back to, good information.

I think I may to join one of the Canadian reenacting units -- oh, dear -- more money to spend, tisk, tisk...

Too young for WWII, and delivered papers to the soldiers at the London Ontario Airstrip! After that, he played hockey. You know... make pucks, not war.

Virtually the rest of the family did, though!
