Edinburgh Kilt Co.
Has anyone here had any experience with the Edinburgh Kilt Company? They are a frequent e-bay seller and seem to have some very nice items.

I do not know anything about them, but at the moment they seem elusive. Their web pages appear to be down and Ebay states, "Sorry, this store does not exist". Maybe someone else will have some informed insight.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I've also wondered about this company. They're certainly high volume on Ebay with largely positive feedback. I've thought about ordering a jacket from them but have held off, primarily because of the lack of any information about them here on the forum. From the wording of their Ebay posts I get the impression that they're dealers of mid-eastern / asian made clothing, but I would love to hear otherwise as their prices are definitely attractive.

I have no experience with them, but it's like anything else. You get what you pay for.

This same thing happens when you try to Google search them or Bing search them . Also , just as an fyi , my Norton anti- virus flags this site as possibly unsafe as opposed to the usual green light check mark . Perhaps another warning sign .

Did a little searching. Are Amrit Gold and Balhar Singh Gold the ones usually referred to as the Gold Brothers? Because they're the two managing directors of the company.

Yes, they are. Question answered.

For some context and detail, go to
http://albanach.org/articles.html#
click on MISCELLANEOUS and then "'Tartan Tat' Taken to Task". Personally, I would stay clear of the EKC.

Interestingly, that article names the Gold Brothers as Surinder, Galab and Dildar Singh. The info I found about Edinburgh Kilt Co. names Amrit and Balhar Singh. More brothers? Cousins? Connected at all?
ETA: The two guys listed are young, in their twenties. Perhaps they're sons or nephews dealing strictly with the e-commerce angle of the company?

No idea. My guess is that they are proprietors of an Israeli Mitnagged Jewish haberdashery operating under assumed, and periodically changing, pseudonyms, ... kind of like the folks on this forum.
