    That is a lovely tartan and you obviously have a strong connection to it. It would be a shame to have it sitting in the closet a lot, so your idea to get a casual sounds good too.

    It's tempting as heck, but I should hold out for a bit. If Rocky still has a few yards in the spring I might do it. My Army kilt isn't in great shape, so maybe I'll get that one in casual. Hard to say right now.

    Beween now and then any new kilts will be of my own construction and of inexpensive materials while saving up for that really swank Argyll (and hoping a killer deal will drop in my lap when I actually have the money on hand).
    The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

    It is wise of you to not get caught up in buying too many kilts, especially when there is other kit to acquire too. If you save for an Argyll, it will come Of course, you won't be saving too long if you watch the "For Sale" section of the forum and check eBay regularly
