    Point taken. That said, the jacket IS a lovely Scot-woven, handmade job; it'd be a shame not to wear it proudly, even if it DOES require bifurcation!

    You could always pick up a pair of trews and make a tartan suit of it, with a waistcoat too, if you feel so inclined (I prefer a waistcoat with my bow ties). Looking at the tartan, it appears that you'd be just fine in black trousers as well.
