    Hello from Milwaukee, WI

    Hello,
I have enjoyed lurking around here for awhile now and have finally taken the plunge and acquired my first kilt. I purchased a sportkilt on ebay in the Law Enforcement tartan. I just have a couple of question for the Rabble

Do I need belt loops on the back of the kilt to run a sporran belt through?
I was thinking of getting the bison colored hose to start with, would this work, or would there be a better color say Lovat Blue?
All suggestions and opinions are appreciated.

    Thanks
I've got big shoes to fill ... so I wear big socks!

I'm just a neophyte myself, but it seems to me having at least one belt loop in the back is nice to help keep the sporran strap from sliding off. I'm not sure it's 'necessary' though.

You don't need to run a sporran belt through loops, but some may prefer it.

Unless you're built like a pencil, there is little chance of losing the sporran because it slides off. If that's the case, you're probably wearing it too low and need to add a couple extra holes to the sporran belt.

    Welcome aboard.
