Hi PiperPenguin and welcome to the Rabble. I just checked Stillwater Kilts site and Jerry still has some Black Watch 100% wool economy kilts for sale at US$90.00. (a 5 yard kilt) For an entry level wool kilt it is a great price. A number of members here have purchased one, including myself, and I have not seen a negative reviiew. All the best with your piping

Welcome from the highlands of Central Massachusetts. You have come to the right place. Recently there was a kilt give-away where several kilts were donated to other people. I'm sure something will turn up. You're not a 36" waist are you?

Hey, my little sister is a long time professor of musicology at Oberlin.

You might have better luck if you told us your kilt size - that'd be waist, hips, and length. First you gotta find your size, then find one your size for free...guessing you're much thinner than most of us olde geezers.

Greetings from Illinois as well! If I can throw out my own two cents (being relatively new to tartan kilts myself) I cannot express enough how happy I am with my USA Kilts kilt!
