Now for the discussion of the decline of spelling and grammar that went along with the westward expansion? Noooooo! It was a joke...
Really though we know it's only gray because one in of the nails fell out off the letter on the sign and it swang round...

So the letter, like the front porch swing, was just a-swangin'?

Descriptive words for colors, I don't mind (mushroom, eggplant, etc.). It's when you get the marketing people involved that things go crazy. My brother had a Tahoe in "raspberry mist." Nice name, but it always looked pink to me.

If you insist on giving them romantic descriptive names, I would suggest gray51, gray46, and gray41 - all colors of U.S. Navy WW-II era battleships and filing cabinets. For details see

Reason: corrective conjunction
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Taking a bit of a punt here, but I would put my money on those hose as being made in the UK, so why would you put U.S. descriptors on the colour of them.

Those were just the first things that came to my mind that seemed to match. I have no doubt that at least some of Her Majesty's Ships and filing cabinets are every bit as dull in appearance as their U.S. counterparts.
