Fringe for me. It seems we're a fringe group that's not a fringe group on this subject.

I only wear a kilt with fringe. Of course I only have one kilt and it has double fringe. A timely subject though as I have a four yard box pleat in the queue and had not discussed this detail with my kiltmaker. Thanks for bringing it up.

All my wool kilts have double fringe, as do my four traditional-style 8yd P/V kilts. My Sport Kilt "Team Kilt", and my 3 TDK's, all lack any fringe. Personally, I like the fringes. They're a nice decorative, yet subtle, touch.

Fring is a nice touch and I have put it on four of my wool tanks but I really have no preference one way or the other.

Make mine a double, or triple if available. Oh, and the fringe too.

I put a triple fringe on both the tweed and tartan kilts I make. On the hemp and leather kilts no fringe. ( don't ever refer my kilts as mugs in my presence cause I'll ram something down your throat and it won't be pretty)
