Hee-hee! Since this guy is so easily led, perhaps his petard needs hoisting.
"Head games" are always the best kind, so let us lead him well astray...

Quick, everybody back You-Tube to post "authoritative" comments stating that he's obviously
wrong because history shows that the pleats were always worn at the front. It was hoped that
the extra material would trap burrs and thistle bits, thus adding camouflage to the kilted warrior.

Make up some citations, [e.g., History of the Kilted Man, Frambold and Johnson, Edinburgh, 1925] to support your
theses and of course cite the famous garb of "The Loyal 83rd" at the Battle of Loch Scridain in 1313. 'Tis said the Scots were "nigh invisible" to invaders. (Anybody really think he'll check your citations?)

Creative writing, for the win. <wink>

Lol. Tempting but we might inadvertantly further confuse someone who actually wants to learn. How would you like it if we used your own suggestion on you?

And one more case why I don't like it when machines choose links for websites, as we can see in the comments on youtube people with no experience in kiltwearing actually believe stuff on youtube.
I was respectful in my comments to him on YouTube but he brushed me off... I think I'll post a comment that if anyone wants to learn how it's really done, they should consult xmarksthescot.com!

Many years ago I attended Dale Carnegie Training in public speaking. One main point I recall and have found to be true in my own life is a presentation should encompass no more than 1 percent of your knowledge on a subject. The remaining 99 percent provides the confidence factor important for a strong presentation and puts one in a position to handle questions with ease.

This young man’s second mistake was recording a presentation that represents 100 percent of his knowledge on the subject. His first mistake, obviously, was his choice of kilt shop.

To me, the saddest thing about that video is that his "look" is quite common and there are many people -- in Scotland and abroad -- who think that it is the way one should wear the kilt

    And having said that,

    Classical FACEPALM...

Oh, and one additional thing... I would consider leaving the poor guy alone. His vid is over 2 years old, and has only within the past day been resurrected from the dead. I imagine he has probably moved on to other things by now...

Oh, excellent! Glad to see other xkcd fans here.

As a side note, with Randall Monroe's full permission and blessing I used that cartoon on the cover of
a report my company sent to the US EPA a couple years ago. They loved it! (and we got our grant.)

For those unaware, xkcd offers this self-explanation...

"Warning: this comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)."

***. Or Goodwill for $6.99 and half off that on the right day! :-)
