There is a video on Youtube called "May 27th: How To Wear Your Kilt"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFBDTYfW7jc

The gentleman in the video is named Joel. Joel went off to his local kilt hire store and, armed with the requisite "jacobite" garb, headed home to make a Youtube video and spread the knowledge the woman at the kilt hire shop passed on to him. He takes an authoritative tone for someone with nearly no idea what he's talking about...

Several people have commented on his video expressing the view that he is sharing poor advice, but he brushes them off as internet trolls.

Even though it takes some nerve to make a video like a self styled expert after one hour of consultation with a kilt hire clerk, the blame rests equally with the modern tartan tat kilt hire industry who are outfitting unsuspecting shoppers in fanciful and imagined historical garb. Does anyone know who invented this so called "Jacobite" look? Did it exist anywhere aside from pirate movies prior to the 1990s?
