I'm thinking it would probably be too out of proportion for smart day wear with my tweed jacket. Too bad though. I prefer the brown to my black leather day sporran.

I think so too. Well, you could always invest in a smart, daywear sporran in brown leather!

I will. I tried to do so recently and purchased a nice looking one from ebay but, as you may recall, it turned out to be a boy's size so I'm back to watching the auctions. Scottish Festival on the 25th weekend. Maybe I'll trot out the DIY fox sporran for that.

Nice turnout, I like the interesting use of the crossbelt.

Which of course is attached to his bag. A bit like a "messenger" bag.

Indeed it is just a bag. Now that he mentions it, it does kind of look like a cross belt! lol. I don't often have the opportunity to wear my khaki Tam O'Shanter or to use my cromach so it was a good day. It will soon be too hot for this kind of outfit. The same thing goes for my tweed day wear jacket. I'm hoping the weather is still mild enough to wear smart daywear to the Kingston Scottish Festival on May 25th.
