Red hair
The only thing that is celtic about him is his hair. Maybe. The accent needs work. I don't have one, but I can hear one thatis correct. Where was that recorded at?

 The guy is English, so while his highland dress skills need a lot of work, I think the accent is as good as it's gonna get.

I do have that shirt, but use it in my pirate personna at faires. Otherwise it is a tshirt or polo for me.

I watched a few of his other videos. Turns out, he was raised by British parents on the continent for many years and learned English at an American school. As such he had a generic non-regional American accent until a few years back. When his English classmates made fun of him, he decided to learn "received pronunciation" and studied Christopher Fry's diction.
I think his dad is actually Scottish. I'd say he's not a bad lad on the whole after watching his vids, just stubborn due to the hubris of youth and the recipient of some bad advice at a kilt hire shop...
It is a shame that it's a "how to" video though!

I would be a bit RP myself. A guy in Glasgow once said I didn't actually have an accent.
He does seem a nice enough lad - if he has just sat his A levels he is only about 18.

I get the impression that RP is somewhat looked down upon generally these days. I have always liked the sound of it, personally.

RP I think was an imposition of broadcasters like the BBC many years ago, and regional accents (with the exception of Scottish) were not permitted. That has all gone and good thing too.
I think accents are largely formed in one's early childhood and one should be not trying to change them in my view. You are trying to deny who you are and where you came from, and why should you want to, unless you are an actor preparing for a role.
In fact RP actors seem to make a good living as Hollywood baddies (Rickman, McGoohan, Hurt, Oldman, Cumberbatch etc etc)
