    Thanks Jock Scot,

    as I read dress kilt hose are an essential part of morning dress highland attire (Tartans and Highland Dress by MacKinnon f.g.). He also recommends buckle dress shoes for morning dress which I find a bit too much but I am not a big friend of ghillie brogue because they are too folkloristic to me so the brogued monks seemed to be a more moderate alternative...but that is, as we often read, a question of personal preference...
    What kind of hose would you wear for such an occasion?
