Knee high solid colored soccer socks make a good alternative to kilt hose in southern summer heat.

I am no golfer, but one of our members here, Forrestermodern, a keen golfer I think, had an interesting time here in Scotland on one of our more famous golf courses and had a bit of a tiff with the management over him wearing the kilt out on the course. Personally I think it was his flat cap that caused the rumpas and was nothing to do with the kilt, but Jeff insists otherwise.

I would have totally never thought of the soccer socks but it makes complete sense when you think about it. I'll be heading to sports authority today to look for some.

I regularly wear a kilt golfing, normal kilt hose (but then we don't consistently get your heat), golf/polo shirt and no sporran on the course. In the summer I wear a hemp Rkilt, otherwise a regular kilt.
