    To each their own.

    The one issue that has been consistently voiced (dozens if not hundreds of times) by customers and kiltmakers about the Irish County Crest collection is that many have very 'bold' colors that don't blend well together with other colors in the same tartan. What we did with the mill was took the ones who didn't sell very well (who we also thought to be a bit too bold) and toned them down a bit.

    In the instance above, the original run of the tartan has a "muted / weathered" gold, a "muted / weathered" red and a reasonably bright blue. The basic change was to make the blue a more "muted / weathered" blue to get in line with the other colors in the tartan.
