    I admit that I first saw his white hose and ghillie brogues before anything else.


    He said that he is a bit of a class clown. I think it was all in good fun and his classmates are always expecting a good gag from him. Points from me for originality and flair.

    I have noticed a trend, however, that proms are treated more like a a chance for a gag rather than a serious formal affair. My generation (and the one behind us) seem to be less-appreciative of such things (formality, I mean). Ç'est la vie.
