Crikey, what do I say?! Thank you three kind souls for keeping tabs on the score, I knew I was close, but this near? I had no idea!
Well OK Jock, say something to mark the occasion other than it seems that I have had far too much time on my hands and should have been busy shooting something or catching something other than a cold. Well its true I suppose that if I dared to add up the time spent on this website it would add up to a frighteningly long time and on the whole I don't begrudge a second of it.
Its been fun, enlightening, humbling, yes annoying at times, there have been great moments and I am afraid to say, some sad, very sad moments too . People have come and gone, some have stayed, some I don't seem to get along with too well and I am fortunate that I have made some very good friends here that I would have never come across outwith this wonderful website. So, just like life really and I intend to make as much of that as I possibly can!

That was the one, Jock, and well said as always. We have struggled through some trying times, have "we" not? But at the tail end we are as fit as we can be and still surprisingly willing and able.

Dear Jock,
I had noticed your proximity to 10,000 yesterday, thinking 10,000, that surely must be a miss-print. I blinked and looked again. Sure enough, the eyes do not deceive. I wondered if you would take note.
Congratulations! I look forward to all your future scribbles.
Cheers.

Well done, Jock. And thank you. This forum would be a much poorer place without your wit, wisdom, and sense of humour.

Simon summed it up perfectly for me, but a simple "Aye" just wouldn't do. So my friend, thank you so very much for taking the time to share your wisdom and experience on this topic that is obviously so dear to your heart. Your contributions here have greatly enriched my knowledge and experience of the kilt, and the culture of your great land.
A great BIG heartfelt thank you Jock Scot! I look forward to reading the next 10,000.
Highest regards,
Brooke
