    Good Start!

Everyone has to start somewhere. Where you take it is up to you.

I took shop class in high school and one segment was on leatherwork. I made a billfold that I carried until it fell apart.
20 years later I made another one.
And about 20 years after that I made my first sporran. It has become my hobby now and I keep getting new ideas of other things I can do in addition to sporrans.

There is just something satisfying about making something you can use for yourself or friends.

Keep at it and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask here on the forum. Lots of folks can help.

    Tom

Thank you and I expect I'll have many questions. And yep, it is very satisfying. I loved the smell and the feel and even the sound of the lace going through the leather. I bought my son a beginner kit and he's coming with me to the next class. Hopefully he'll get as interested in it as I am and we can share some tool costs lol - he at least has a garage big enough to set up a work bench in and they live pretty close to us.

Nice work Hippie. I find working in leather very gratifying. Enjoy.
