And about 20 years after that I made my first sporran. It has become my hobby now and I keep getting new ideas of other things I can do in addition to sporrans.

There is just something satisfying about making something you can use for yourself or friends.

Thank you and I expect I'll have many questions. And yep, it is very satisfying. I loved the smell and the feel and even the sound of the lace going through the leather. I bought my son a beginner kit and he's coming with me to the next class. Hopefully he'll get as interested in it as I am and we can share some tool costs lol - he at least has a garage big enough to set up a work bench in and they live pretty close to us.
