ron, are you alright?
I heard on the news that Ron's (Riverkilt) area of Arizona has been flooded with rain. Are you high and dry, Ron?

Aye, I hope Ron is okay.
ETA: From what I have read, HWY 89 which runs though Page, despite being inundated with water and sand, had been cleared within 24 hours. No word on damage to houses.

He's gotta be all right. After his trip through the canyon, he knows all about rough water. Still, fingers crossed for Ron and everybody else down there.

I hate floods! Been through too many of them...so thought I'd be fine up on a mesa. I am, but the runoff from the mesa made quite a muddy mess of the base of the mesa. Its flashflood season in the Canyonlands for sure.
But I missed the mess that closed Hwy 89 below town. Had some friends get stuck in the mud though.
Down the canyon the river rose 4 feet the last night from flashfloods down the side canyons. Would have lost a lot of our gear if the olde man hadn't had to get up in the wee hours to relieve himself. Noticed the kitchen gear floating away and woke the boatmen. We had the situation under control after 2 1/2 hours....lots of gear to recover and move.

That was some flash flooding! Which kilt do you recommend with the backstroke?
