Just got back from the Glengarry Highland Games yesterday afternoon.
Wife and I had a great time and we met some very nice people.

Here is a photo of myself, Robert of RKilts, and Crash, outside Robert's Vendor tent.

We had several opportunities to chat throughout the two days of the games.
I'm sorry I didn't get to meet some of the other folks who attended, particularly Sheep in Wolf's Clothing, whom I made a belt pouch for several years ago!

Here is a picture from Saturday. I'm wearing my Maple Leaf Tartan box pleated kilt from Matt Newsome and a Maple Leaf Sporran I made for myself. Plus my souvenir baseball cap that I got in Ottawa.

Glengarry Highland Games is billed as the largest assembly of pipe bands in North America and it was certainly impressive to see 55 bands with 1472 pipers and drummers gathered together at the closing ceremony on Saturday afternoon. This picture does not begin to do justice to the scene.

This was our first visit to Canada, and with the warm welcome we received from all the people there, I'm sure it will not be the last.

    Regards,
    Tom

In the first photo I'm 6' tall and the short guy in the group. I know we'll see Robert again soon and I hope we see Tom and Mrs.Hay again soon.

Sorry I missed seeing/finding/meeting everyone that was there. Was a bit of a busy weekend. I tried but can't find myself out in the field in the last photo. I'm somewhere in the middle of it all ;)

Another time and another games, I'm sure I'll starting meeting some of you! At least the weather was good for Maxville this year!

Now I'm a little extra sorry we didn't meet as I'm a beginning piper and I always enjoy talking with experienced pipers. Maybe next time.
