This is a bit of a gimmick pin that I spotted on the site of some online highland retailer (I forget which) but it's made by Gaelic Themes (who make the X Marks Clan Badge) and is not uncommon. It depicts three toothed cogs within a strap and buckle and bears the dog latin inscription "Illegitimus Non Carborundum" (if you don't know what this means and would like a long wided and rather dull description of the etymology of this phrase please click here) I was a bit ticked off when I bought it and it seemed appropriate at the time. It does make a conversation piece if anyone notices (not that they do) and it sits on my 15oz Lindsay Double Box Pleat.

I got this for my Scottish National Kilt. Will post a pic on kilt when I get home.

Rennie Mackintosh inspired, a man whose work I admire (so much I have a tattoo of one of his designs).

Went to my first Wisconsin Scottish games last weekend. I had a great time. I was looking around for a kilt pin for my Black Watch when I stumbled onto this one. I think it is pretty cool. Sorry if the pic is blurry - my wife has the camera and I had to use the one on my phone. If you can not tell what is in the middle - it is a badger (Wisconsin is the Badger State, for those who didn't know) Well here it is:
