    Show us your Kilt Pins!

Kilt pins. Although the pin is essentially an accessory I feel it says a lot about the wearer - as much as the kilt most of the time.

So far I have bought a kilt pin for each one of my kilts, that matches the kilt and remains affixed to it. I personally don't like many of the sword designs. Likewise, I don't go for the thistle designs as I am not Scottish and, being Welsh, would not wear the pin Kiltedwolfman has here:

I much prefer brooch-style pins such as this on my Irish Saffron:

Whilst perusing ebay this morning I found this:

    Ebay Eyeball Brooch

But I have just bought this (for my khaki kilt I'm anticipating to arrive from Kilt this! in January):
    Ebay Welsh Slate Brooch

And am undecided on this (due to cost and weight):
    Ebay Welsh Silver Brooch

I would love to find a Saxon-style shield design of pin, such as these:

I have found this, but it's a bit expensive at £55:

What sort of kilt pins do you wear/prefer?

I'm the very boring type and use for the most part the standard military kilt pin. I did acquire a sterling silver kilt pin on ebay recently. But for the most part I pick up horse blanket pins at my local Tractor Supply store.

I made a few of these from some copper I had laying around.

Here's a penguin I wear on my Antarctic tartan kilt

This is a Hopi made sterling silver bear pin I wear on my Isle of Skye tartan kilt.

Here is another Hopi made sterling pin. This the Thunderbird that I wear on my Royal Air Force tartan kilt. (Yeah, its on another tartan for this pic)

Here's my U.S. Army kilt pin with the U.S. Army tartan kilt. Other pins are a War 2 victory pin and Army Air Corps collar insignia. Don't recall the occasion.

Here's an X Marks pin with blood donor and mini firefighter's badge on my Firefighter's Memorial tartan kilt.

Here's a Marine Corps kilt pin on my Leatherneck tartan kilt...and a mini KBar replica sgian dubh.

Most of my kilt pins are the standard pewter sword model with clan crest.

Do have a bunch more with no handy pictures. Kinda keep my eye out for things that can be used as a kilt pin.

My latest (from USA Kilts) has not been worn yet.

Slanj also has a nifty rampant lion pin.

There's some beautiful pins on show here! I really like the two KiltedCarver created. I also like Robert's kilt pins - especially the first three!

Thanks for sharing guys. I'm looking forward to what else gets posted.
