Adopted by a Scot
Greetings from California!
It was actually by chance I came across this forum whilst doing a bit of research on some of the kilts I have - and happy I did!
About 10 years ago I inherited 3 kilts from my adoptive grandfather, a professor originally from Glasgow, but whose family came from the highlands. I have worn them ever since (whenever I could find a good excuse), however it was only recently that I began to take a greater interest in Scottish culture in history.
Looking forward to lots of learning!
Cheers.

Hi and welcome from the other side of the big pond in sunny Queensland!
Aside from sharing an ocean, I also inherited my first kilt which is now a treasured heirloom!
Regards, Sav.
