Not a problem.....I honestly believe that the feller from Bonsai Pottery has talent....just needs a bit of guidance as far as what the kilted comunitee wants as far as sporrans go....Honestly...if he got the chance to apprentice under Kate McPherson.....I think that would put an end to the issues we have with his mask sporrans. There is talent in him.....just needs some pointers from consumers is all.
. . . the hairy bit and the fastening knot at the back have been 'grafted' onto the body of a standard off the rack sporran. Nothing wrong with that mind, I think your end result looks terrific but it doesn't appear to be 100% made from scratch.
Have to agree after looking at some of the photos of the back. If that is the case, be very careful about applying any leather conditioner/dressing to these areas. It is probably leather board instead of full grain leather and may suffer damage from these products—worst case it can begin to delaminate. That warning aside, it's a nice conversion for the price.

Yeah. I misread what you had posted. lol....I didn't see the rock on part and was thinking "while half awake" that you were making a jibe at "went to bed early....cost $120" lol. It wasn't until after I posted that I noticed that. But oh well.
