I often turn my flat cap backwards to achieve that look, kind of like baseball player's do.
PS: I like those white socks.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

LOL why thank you...normally I cock my flat caps off to the side.....but I just slammed it on my head quickly for the sake of the pic. I like em as well....if worn with the proper kilt.....I'm not too keep on white hose with ghillie broughes. Too circa 1990's pipe band for me. they do look good with the Scruffy Wallace though. all scrunched down and what.

The only outfit white socks don't ruin is a sports kit, they add.
"Unless you're exercising there is absolutely no appropriate moment to wear white socks," says Alex Bilmes, editor of Esquire magazine.
I hereby challenge Mr. Bilmes to come down here to Texas and look at all of us wearing Wranglers and cowboy boots, and attempt to even guess what colour our socks are, much less tell us whether they're "ruining" our outfits.
Not that I care what some dweeb who gets paid to write about socks thinks...

He can't be too terribly daft if he was able to convince someone that his views on socks were worth paying for...

No, that's only for a second offense.

John: Very nice outfit, especially for outdoors. I like the light (if not white) shirt under the dark (if not black) sweater. I would have probably chosen red flashes/garters for the red overstripes in the McLeod, ... picky, picky, picky.

Are you sure about the kilt police ? I have been repeating this quote for the past hour . Now at count number 987 . All of sudden , there are now guys pounding at my front door demanding I surrender my white kilt hose .
They must have been reading my thoughts ! Dang it , I should have been wearing my tin foil glengarry !
The Wizard of BC warned us about the kilt police a few months ago in a post and about their unseemly ways . I am preparing to bribe them with an ale or two . If that doesn't work , then I guess it's full on scrapping !
