O-K,guys,can you help me with the proper(other than my own) blazon of this coat of arms? Also thanks for the drawing,SlackerDrummer, that convinced me of the crest. My motto is going to be "Das Schwert des Herrn und Gideon".That is "The Sword Of The Lord And Gideon,In German. My plant badge will be the leek-like,Mountain plant known as Ramps(Allium tricoccum).I have decided on my main(livery, property mark, and etc.) badge,I think. It will be a mostly white (along with some reddish-brown spots) pointer(pointing of course),with a red collar and leash, sort of like, the badge of Drummond in the "Simply Heraldry Cheerfully Illustrated" book. Thanks for all of the help guys, very much.
    Thank-you,

I think that I will shorten my motto to "Das Schwert".

    I think I'd say...

Per bend indented Or and Sable masoned Or, in sinister chief a boar's head erased Gules pierced by an arrow bendwise point upwards Brūnatre, the point Sable and fletching Vert.

But if you can be convinced not to be insistent on the colors of the arrow, a better blazon would be...

Per bend indented Or and Sable masoned Or, in sinister chief a boar's head erased Gules pierced by an arrow bendwise point upwards proper.

    Hello,
Thank-you SlackerDrummer for that blazon,I will go for the second choice,as you are right about the colors of the arrow.Would the crest be "On a Torse Or and Sable a rooster proper,on an anvil Sable, supporting a Liberty Pole Brūnatre and Gules extending to torse".Also, are there an meanings to a mullet? Thanks again.

    Thank-you,

    Ethan Walling

As I'm sure you are aware, there are a wide variety of roosters, so you need to decide what colors you want it to be. Also, in heraldry, a rooster is more commonly called a cock. And a liberty pole is already a specific item, so I think you can get by with proper. I think I would go with (to describe my illustration) On a torse Or and Sable an anvil Sable thereupon a cock Argent beaked and legged Or combed and wattled Gules supporting with its dexter leg a liberty pole extending from the torse proper.

Like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder. There is no universal meaning.

I think that I would like to use a white rooster withheld red wattles and comb, that would be good. Now,what I need is a computerized rendition of the whole arms for a painting that I am going to get an artist friend, who is just out of college,to do.I have decided against the pointer badge to,I think. But,I think that a Bluetick would be good, representing the fact that I'm from Tennessee. The Bluetick would hold a sword,or something of that nature.

    Thank-you,

What do you guys think of this blazon here :"Quarterly per fess fir-tree topped Vert and Argent."

And The crest :"On a torse Vert and Argent,A beaver sejant erect holding in its dexter paw a hammer gules and argent."

    Mantling :Vert doubled Argent."

    Motto :"Liberty Or Death".

    Thank-you,

    Ethan Walling
