Here's a few kilted Friday photos from yesterday and Last night.

OK, so here's the story.......I'm visiting So.Cal. (where I grew up) from Tulsa Oklahoma, and wanted to do some "kilting" while I'm here. With this goal in mind I encouraged two additional "kilted friends" ( and first timers I might add) to come and join me in a spontaneous KILTED FRIDAY at the Tilted Kilt in Orange California.

With the intention of "sharing the fun" I put out an open invitation to all Xmark members (readers) to "come on by" the Tilted Kilt to have fun too. Xmark member OC Richard said he was pipping at a wedding just one city over and would be showing up too. Great! The more the merrier.

The proposed time for the Tilted Kilt start off was 7:00, but my Nephew and I decided to start off our "kilted Friday" a bit early by wearing kilts out to lunch at Gulliver's next to the John Wayne (Orange County) airport, to be fallowed up several hours later with the gathering at the Tilted Kilt.

So, here's a few photos to commemorate the occasion.

When OC Richard arrived at the Tilted Kilt, he'd brought his pipes with him, and even though the crowd was engrossed with one of the (what seemed like) 20 games showing on the many TV that were around the ceiling line, when he fired up his pipes, and started pipped a short tune, (and did a bit of marching as he played) the crowd loved it. Thanks Richard!!!

I don't have any kilted Friday adventures to share just yet, but I got permission from the big boss (President of the company) to wear the kilt to the office.

I'm going to need more kilts.

    Kilted Wednesday Adventure!

I wore my Xmarks tartan kilt to work for the first time today and I have had a 100% positive response!

I've posed the question to the HR department here at work, approximately a week ago, about wearing a kilt to work and so far all I've gotten back is a bunch of cricket (the insect, not the game) noises. Initially they asked a few questions and I even gave them some advice based on other companies that I have worked for.

I fear that they either haven't stopped laughing yet or that they are all unconscious due to a lack oxygen to the brain.

Realistically though, being an HR department, I have the feeling that they are looking for a politically correct way to tell me no.
