Second USA Kilt
I just pulled the trigger on a Stewart Hunting Modern 16oz 8 yard wool kilt. It's my first wool kilt. I have been back and forth for months over how I was going to have it pleated. I finally went with the alternating red and yellow stripes.
6-10 weeks. Six weeks from today is the day before Thanksgiving in the United States. Ten weeks from today is December 25th - Xmas Day.
I can't wait to wear my new kilt on a crisp December day! Now, the jones. The sweet, sweet jones.

And you picked a very nice tartan. Here is what your new kilt will look like pleated to the red and yellow stripes.

Phil,
Believe me, I have been through Xmarks thread after Xmarks thread and google image searches ad nauseum. I have solicited input from the rabble and I even ran it by my kilt hag. I know exactly what I am getting and I can't wait.

And so it begins....USA kilt #2....fair warning...I've 27 USA Kilts.....and it took a long time for me to buy the first one because I thought all the praise was too good to be true. Risked the first one and have been hooked every since....what's your third gonna be?

Mikilt: Good for you! Congratulations! The SHM is one of my favorite tartans and if/when I buy an SHM kilt, it will be a tank, too. I just haven't decided if I want the HofE regimental cloth or the Dalgliesh heavy weight.
As for Jonesing, just keep reminding yourself that it is a good problem to have.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Just ordered my first "non-pipe-band-issue" kilt from Rocky last week (16oz 8 yard Douglas Grey) and am already looking at swatches for a second kilt. I'm thinking seriously about IOS also, so I'd LOVE to see photos.
