Highland outfit for the Great Dickens Fair
Hello All,
I was delighted to perform with the Red Thistle Scottish Dancers today at the Great Dickens Fair here in the Bay Area. Our shows went very well and something that is always quite fun (beyond the celebratory post-show absinthe tasting at the Bohemian Pub) is wearing the very bright Victorian costumes. Since Matt Newsome has been writing about pink hose I thought I would share this photo of my subtle and subdued Victorian outfit.

Happy Christmas one and all!
Cheers
Jamie

'Understatement' is an understatement. Great heavens below, Jamie, what spray do you use to get your hairy thing to be that frizzy?

Reminds me of the way some of the women would "rat" their hair in the '70's.
Jamie, I must agree with you. Your choice of colors really is quite,.....subdued.
Seriously, you look well put together.
I always enjoyed the Dickens Faire. Congratulations on your performance.

It's about time, not just a kilt with hose laid accross! An actual member of thr rabble wearing the much talked about pink hose. Goodanya, a very smart look for the season.

oy,
If you would like a less costume-like look here is the same kilt and hose worn at the Pleasanton highland games.

Cheers

Your Highland outfit for the Great Dickens Fair is quite elegant, sir. However, did you wear that giant sporran when you danced? If so, did it not through you off balance?

Between you and what Ron has posted, I'm starting to think I might give pink hose a try. Of course I would need to get another kilt since I'm not sure pink would go with my MacGregor of Cardney tank.
At least,.....that's how I'm explaining it to my wife.
