Not too keen on the casserole idea, but Scotch eggs cold with plenty of salt and lashings of white pepper and just a wee smidgen of Worcestershire sauce goes down a treat for a quick snack out on the hill.

I am going to pass on the casserole idea. I like proper scotch eggs as well as my own variation. But the casserole idea doesn't sound appetizing.

When I saw the title of the post, in my mind, I was thinking the elements of Scotch Eggs combined into a more traditional/normal casserole; not prepared wholly that way. I was ... surprised at what I saw. Never woulda thunk it.

This post successfully has me planning to use the fry daddy this weekend though.

The farthest from traditional I've seen is my own variation. smoked scotch eggs, halved and the yolks deviled with mayo, mustard, minced shallot, and a daub of sriracha sauce for a bit of zing.

Even for me the casserole is a bit of a stretch.
