Some of us aren't mad as hatters. Like me, for example. I'm mad at hatters. I think they charge too much and are snooty, and I sometimes feel the urge to burn down their haberdasheries.

Hi Miah and thanks for the welcome!
I saw in an older thread where you had picked Lamont tartan as one you would like to have. Do you have any connection to Clan Lamont? Or do you just like the tartan? Down the road, I will post some pictures of the Lamont Ancient I have on order from White Thistle.
If you are linked to the Lamonts, take a look at my Web site, as there is some info there that may (or may not) interest you.

Peace,
Mike

Hi Mike. Welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new myself, and am kiltless at this point, too. Hopefully will have one within a few months or so.

Brian, I think we have come to the right place to learn, though.
Until a couple of days ago, I had never given modern kilts a second thought. DUH! I had been shopping for a traditional kilt and I knew what I wanted and I was prepared to spend a lot of money for it.
Then I got to thinking, why not look at the modern-styled kilts and enjoy the freedom every day of the week?
I pastor a small, country church. The church has no air conditioning and there have been Sundays when the members have asked why I don't jusr wear shorts. Which tells me that kilts will not seem out of place. 8)
Nice to "meet" you.
Peace,
Mike

Mike, I noticed in another post that you used the phrase, "that dog won't hunt" or something to that affect. You've got to be a Swindoll fan, right? He's the only one I've ever heard use that phrase.
Zeytoun, you crack me up!

Rufus, that phrase has been around a long time. My grandfather used to use it when I made excuses

Rufus, no Swindoll is not the connection. I cannot really remember where I first heard that one.
Peace,
Mike

Even stranger, cars wear Bras too. I think my Dodge Dakota 4x4 is about a 68D
