They also have to wear 'webbing' (personal load carrying equipment).

The photo is on another website which infers that the soldiers are of the Transvaal Scottish Regiment.
On another webpage it listed as being the 4th South African Infantry (South African Scottish)....an amalgamate of the Capetown Highlanders and Transvaal Scottish. They wore Murray of Atholl.
