Thanks for all the advice so far! The sporran does seem a bit small but I made it myself and copied the size from a WWII era original. So I am kind of stuck with a smaller sporran. Thanks very much for the size advice though. It will come in handy when I get around to making another one.

    Sincerely,

Are you certain it was an adult sporran you were working from? Great job on the DIY craftsmanship on all the items, btw. Excellent skills.

Yes I am, although since I was eyeing it, it could have come out a bit small. I was copying (as well as I could) Bill Millin's D-Day sporran (which does seem a little on the small size).

This would be the place where post the reference pictures of Bill Millin's sporran... and you tell me I still made it way to small . Well hopefully not but here goes.

The statue is the Normandy monument and is probably the most accurate representation on Mr. Millin out there.

Well, is it still too small

Of course I should post a picture of me in the uniform. There are still problems as it is still a work in progress.

This was at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. The Veteran is one of the "Terrible Terrells", really neat story. So does the sporran still look small?

    :ootd: Karl

P.S. I made that kilt too and I don't much like "Military" Box pleats any more

Really good work. What are the sporran's dimensions? It looks smaller than the standard civilian sporran to my eye but the dimensions would help. There's also the possibility that the sculptor made it a little too small.

In any case, it's no big deal. I like my kilt with military box pleats but I don't like sitting while wearing it.
