It's a standard photo used for all those kilts, so may not represent the actual kilt. There is a returns policy though just in case. He says it's 50% wool and 50% acrylic. I don't mind pv kilts, they are cooler in hot weather, but not at that price.

I don't think it's CRAZY overpriced if it's a fully hand sewn kilt, made to traditional specs, just using PV cloth. Based on their other auctions, they're using MM's PV cloth. I don't think they know what the fiber content is (or material weight for that matter), so they made something up to answer the question.

MM's PV cloth is 65% Polyester, 35% rayon. Cloth weight is 11 - 12 oz per yard (NOT the 14 oz they claim on the auction).

The lighter the better in this heat, it's set to go over 40c. I've ordered it anyway so I'll let you all know if it was ok or if I had to return it. It was this or a sportskilt,or even a utility kilt!

FWIW I agree with Chas, Bauhaus Boy is a good ebay seller, although I haven't bought a kilt from him, I have bought accessories and they are always good quality and his service is very good.
Friends stay in touch on FB simon Taylor-dando
    Best regards

I'm happy to say that I think the price was about right, the material has a nice quality feel whatever it is. I'll post a photo in a new thread later.
