pint-pot? I know what each of these means separately but what do they mean with a hyphen?

I was thinking about silver dollars / rounds, but it would require some work to attach a pin to the coin. I like some of the Silver Bullet Silver Shield designs such as

http://www.goldstackers.com.au/store/brands/sbss.html - my local supplier, but I believe they are minted in the US, so you should be able to find them closer to home.

And I have no idea if a whole ounce is too heavy. Also, silver rounds aren't necessarily "household items" any more.

    Magnetic One

I made a magnetic one up from washers, a sealing wax centre with a crest in it: kilt pin 1.jpg primarily for traveling on aircraft - no pin for security to object to and it is easy to remove for the scanner, but heavy enough to keep things in order if it is drafty walking to or from the aircraft. You do have to be careful you don't get kilt checked by inanimate steel objects though.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I am making one for my son that is made from about a 3" piece of deer antler. It's actually the brow tine I cut off the main beam, which is being used for a Sgian Duhb handle, to match the kilt pin.
