Let me make this point as simply and strongly as I can - THERE IS NO SUCH TARTAN.
The STR entry is based on the Scottish World Tartan Register where it is claimed that The source of tartan 1666 was: Highland Society of London. We are fortunate that the original sample with the Chief's seal survives and in this case is shown in Munro's Highland Clans and Tartan.

It is absolutely clear that that tartan is an example of Wilson's 'No.43, Kidd or Caledonia' which was adopted/sealed by the chief as his own in 1816. The STWR and subsequent STR entries are therefore incorrect.
The Internet can be a good source but it's only as good as the source information: rubbish in – rubbish out!
