    On the back of organising 4yds for a re-enactor I had 20yds woven. So I've got some spare - not that I neeeeeed another kilt but I've always liked Wilsons' colours and settings of the 42nd.

    That is one of the finest 42nd renderings that I've ever seen.
    The Wilson's colours are top notch in every example that I've seen.

    Single width, I assume? What weight? .. And, if for sale, what price per meter? ..and is it "in the grease", I think the expression is ( not all natural oils washed out)?

    Yes, single width 16oz material (£46.50 per yard) and no, not in the grease but still a good crisp handle.

    Very nice, and tempting, but, like you, I have to ask myself if I reaaalllly neeeed another kilt, and, at almost $CAD 85 per yd. I'll have to pass.
