Ditto, it is the only one I found where you don't.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I've been to Clava Cairns several times - a great visit while near Culloden. Thanks for the tip.
I've read all of Gabaldon and have several of her volumes signed. She lives just a little way from my family but I've never had the pleasure of meeting her. As far as I know, she has no blood connection with Scotland but her research gets better and better with each book. Her stories might possibly benefit from a little less research and greater independence from actual events, but rollicking good tales none-the-less. I also enjoy her Grey series. All her work is recommended. I read that the first episode was viewed by five million people - not too shabby!

Rhennish is a German wine from the Rhine Valley. I am not sure if the exact type mentioned in the books is still made, but certainly the Rhine Valley is an active wine producer.

Wasn't sure about the series after episode 1, but that's the introduction of course, so nothing can be predicted from that. Quite liked episode 2, although there's a lot of romance-novel wish fulfillment, but it's tolerable. I love the art direction and the look of the series but most of all the score. Beautiful, authentic instrumentation.

It's also quoted in the 1995 movie, "Rob Roy," by His Grace the Duke of Argyll, played by the late Andrew Keir.
