I've just posted these on their facebook pages and I'll wait and see what reaction I get. This is my cheapest PV kilt, now relegated to dog walking only:

I've just posted photos on their FB pages of me in my dog walking kilt, with dogs, so I'll see what reaction I get.

I wear a kilt in England everyday, don't worry about what anyone else thinks, it is not a problem. Just get your family used to the idea before you arrive and they should be fine too.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

I live just next door in Poole, and there are a few visitors who wear kilts. This weekend I went to the folk festival in Swanage - not far off - and there were several dancers and musicians in kilts, which caused no reaction at all.
If there are areas in which you'd not want to be wearing a kilt, then they would not really be areas many would want to be found in no matter what their clothing - your family should be able to advise.

That'd be nice. I arrive late on Wednesday 13th and leave on the 18th, October that is. PM your phone number and I can confirm whether or not I'll be there with kilt. I'm not actually sure what area I'm staying in, but I'll ask my daughter.
