Help with Horsehair sporran

I spray a water on it and use my daughters Hair straighteners then spray on some Dry conditioner spray and come it threw and straighten a little more all the time bushing it . This is how I got one of mine from curling out at the sides

One word of caution on anything that uses heat to alter the condition of hair-

Heat DAMAGES hair. On humans it's not usually that big a deal as we continually grow it (until our 'landing strip' or 'peninsula' starts to form as middle age chaps),
but on cut hair heat can cause weakness over time and result in brittle and broken hairs.

It takes a while for the damage to happen, but I'd just as soon avoid the possibility, especially if you were looking to have your piece end up as a really nice antique in your son/grandson/great-grandson's wardrobe.
