New Kilt and Kilted Friday Atire

Can't take pictures at work so here is todays version. This is my new Army Tartan from USA Kilts. Rocky did a grand job and I am most pleased.

I added the 3rd Armor Division patch as that was the unit I served with.

Is that Spearhead? We did an exercise with them Iin Germany back in the 70's. I wish there were a generic British Army tartan.

Very nice sir! And very masculine too.

Love that "Go Army" tartan! Mine is a utility kilt, which I will wear tomorrow during game day (Ole Miss v. Alabama) I'll post a photo or two. Hadn't thought about sewing a patch on it but as a graduate of the 7th Army NCO academy at Bad Tolz, 1977, it would be a cool addition to have the "ascending stairway", shown below on the sleeve of my (for ceremonies) Eisenhower jacket.

Some kilts I've seen actually have a velcro strip blended in for patches, etc., to be worn or not....

This would have been in Wolfenbuttel probably 73 or 74, so just before your time. I was in the 17th/21st Lancers which no longer exist under government cuts. Click image for larger version.

    Great looking kilt.
Thinking it would be a bit of a challenge crawling around on a MBT in one

Mel, I served with your Cdn allied regiment, which remains extant as perpetuated through the Queens Royal Lancers (whom, it was nice to see, retained a good bit of 17/21 accoutrement)
